SRUC (Scotland’s Rural University College) has launched a new course aimed at agricultural professionals. The course is designed to meet current demand for well trained and suitably qualified personnel within the agricultural industry, and a need for specialists who not only have an understanding of their sector, but have the skills to interact professionally with their clients.
“There is a high demand in the industry for well trained, qualified staff who not only have specialist knowledge but also the ability to get their message across to clients,” says Caroline Daniel, Agriculture Programme Leader with SRUC.
The course included modules on Professional Leadership and Management, Business Planning & Decision Making and Project Management. Among the optional choices are Nutrient Management, Animal Health and Veterinary Medicine or Grassland and Fodder Crop Protection.
